How does exporting people work?

Exporting people creates a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and populates it with person data before downloading it to your computer.

You can control which people will be exported by setting filters such as:

  • Organisation

  • Tag

  • Email list

  • Pricing tier

You can then control what data will be included for each exported person by selecting fields such as:

  • Person ID

  • Person number

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Gender

  • Username

  • Birth date

  • Allow on account

  • Pricing tier name

  • Status

  • Billing address

  • Mailing address

  • Work address

  • Home address

  • Mobile phone number

  • Home phone number

  • Work phone number

  • Email address

  • Organisation

  • Tags

  • Email lists

  • Internal note

  • Xero contact name*

  • Custom fields**

  • Comments***

* Only available if Xero is connected, see Connecting Xero

** Custom fields varies depending on what custom fields you have added, see Person custom fields

*** Comments are exported as an additional sheet, if you have selected the Comments field you should also select the Person ID, Person number, first name or last name fields so that a reference exists between the comments and the person.
