Roles are used to control access to different parts of Airsquare, so that you can assign Users (or administrators) to your website and only allow them access to certain parts of your website.

You can give users any combination of roles.

How do I add a new role?

  1. Go to Account > Users & roles > Roles.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter a Title.
  4. Tick the privileges you want to give this role. Note, privileges are hierarchical, this means the privilege is only granted if you also have all the parent privileges. 
  5. Click Add.

Once you've created a new role, you can then add a user or edit a user, and assign the role to them.

How do I edit a role?

  1. Go to Account > Users & roles > Roles.
  2. Next to the role, click Edit.
  3. Change the details of the role.
  4. Click Update.

Why can't I edit some of the roles?

Some of the roles are part of the Airsquare system and can't be edited.

How do I delete a role?

  1. Go to Account > Users & roles > Roles.
  2. Next to the role, click Delete.
  3. Click Delete.
