What is an event session?

A session is an occurrence of an event. You can create multiple sessions for a single event, for example if the event is a concert which will be repeated for several dates and/or at different venues.

How do I add a session to an event?

You can add sessions to an event when you create an event:

  1. Go to Commerce > Events.

  2. Click on Events in the left hand menu.

  3. Click Add in the top right.

  4. On the first screen, select Yes for Does this event have multiple sessions?

  5. You can then specify if the sessions have different venues and different times.

  6. Complete the event details.

  7. Then find the event in the table, and click to edit it.

  8. You'll see the heading Sessions at the top of the page.

  9. Click +Add on the right.

  10. Fill in the session details.

  11. Click Add to save.

  12. Add as many sessions as you need to.

You can also add sessions to events retrospectively:

  1. Go to Commerce > Events.

  2. Click on Events in the left hand menu.

  3. Find the event that you are looking for and click on it.

  4. Click on the Edit Type button in the top right.

  5. Select Yes for Does this event have multiple sessions?

  6. You can then select if the sessions have different venues and different times.

  7. Select Update at the bottom.

  8. You'll see the heading Sessions at the top of the page.

  9. Click the Add button on the right.

  10. Fill in the session details.

  11. Click Add to save.

  12. Add as many sessions as you need to.

How do I search for an event session?

  1. Go to Commerce > Events.

  2. Click on Events in the left hand menu.

  3. Find the event that you are looking for and click on it.

  4. Click the Sessions tab under the event heading.

  5. You'll see the sessions for that event listed under the heading Sessions. 

How do I edit a session?

  1. Go to Commerce > Events.

  2. Click on Events in the left hand menu.

  3. Find the event that you are looking for and click on it.

  4. Click the Sessions tab under the event heading.

  5. You'll see the sessions for that event listed under the heading Sessions. 

  6. You can edit the sessions by clicking on them.

  7. Click Update at the bottom of the page to save.

How do I delete a session?

  1. Go to Commerce > Events.

  2. Click on Events in the left hand menu.

  3. Find the event that you are looking for and click on it.

  4. Click the Sessions tab under the event heading.

  5. You'll see the sessions for that event listed under the heading Sessions.

  6. Find the session that you want to delete.

  7. Select Delete in the right hand Options column.

  8. Click Delete to confirm that you want to delete the session.
