Event ticket types

How to set up tickets for your events.

What are ticket types?

In Airsquare, 'ticket types' refers to the various types of tickets that you can offer, for the same event. For example:

  • You could offer people 'Early Bird' tickets, which are available up until a certain date at a cheaper price;

  • You could offer 'VIP' tickets, which have certain perks and are more expensive;

  • You could offer 'seated' or 'standing' tickets;

  • You could offer a 'standard' ticket, rather than having a variety of ticket options.

Ticket types allow you to specify how many tickets are available for each event, if limits are applicable.

How do I add a ticket type to an event?

In the admin area

  1. Go to Commerce > Events > Events

  2. Find the event that you want to create a ticket type for and click on it.

  3. Click the Tickets types tab under the event heading*.

  4. Click the Add button on the top right.

  5. Enter a Title, e.g. Standard, VIP etc.

  6. Optionally, enter a Description.

  7. Optionally, enter Ticket information.

  8. Optionally, enter the Maximum tickets available.

  9. Enter a Low ticket threshold.

  10. Enter Prices**.

  11. Select a Tax type.

  12. Optionally, select a Booking start date.

  13. Optionally, enter a Booking end date.

  14. Tick/untick Hide if sold out.

  15. Tick/untick Hide if outside booking dates.

  16. Select a Website status.

  17. Click the Add button.

* If the event has multiple sessions, you will need to add Ticket types for each session instead of for the overall event.

** If the event is free, enter a price of 0.

How do I edit a ticket type?

In the admin area

  1. Go to Commerce > Events > Events

  2. Find the event that contains the ticket type you want to edit and click on it.

  3. Click the Tickets types tab under the event heading*.

  4. Find the ticket type you are looking for and click the Edit button in the Options column.

  5. Edit the ticket types details.

  6. Click the Update button.

How do I delete a ticket type?

In the admin area

  1. Go to Commerce > Events > Events

  2. Find the event that contains the ticket type you want to delete and click on it.

  3. Click the Tickets types tab under the event heading.

  4. Find the ticket type you are looking for and click the Delete button in the Options column.

  5. Click the Delete button to confirm.
