What are packages?
Packages are pre-defined boxes, bags, or envelopes that you commonly use to ship your orders. By preloading these package types, you can save time during order fulfillment, as you won’t need to manually enter dimensions each time.
Packages can also be linked to specific courier rates provided by your connected couriers. For example, if you have a package with the code A4, and one of your connected couriers supports rates for A4 sized packages, the corresponding rate will be available when fulfilling an order with that package.
How do I add a package?
In the admin area
Go to Commerce > Settings > Packages.
Click Add (top right).
Enter a Name.
Optionally, enter a Code.
Under Dimensions, enter the width, height and depth.
Optionally, enter a Max weight.
Click Add.
How do I import packages?
If you have lots of packages to add, using the import will be faster.
In the admin area
Go to Commerce > Settings > Packages.
Click Import (top right).
Follow the instructions on how to prepare your excel spreadsheet to upload, save on your computer somewhere.
Select the excel file on your computer.

How do I structure my spreadsheet columns?
The spreadsheet must be of the .xlsx file type and only contain one sheet, any additional sheets will be ignored.
The first row of the spreadsheet must list the column headings in separate columns, see What are the supported columns? for the supported columns. All column headings should be in uppercase.
If your spreadsheet contains any columns that are not supported then those columns and their data will be ignored. If you wish to remove any columns, simply delete them from the spreadsheet.
What are the supported columns?
The supported columns are as follows:
NAME*
CODE
WIDTH*
HEIGHT*
DEPTH*
MAX_WEIGHT
*Required.
What package data can I provide?
When importing packages using the import feature, it is important that the data you provide meets certain guidelines to avoid any issues. The guidelines are as follows:
Each row of your spreadsheet is read as a single package.
NAME - must be provided and cannot exceed 100 characters.
CODE - cannot exceed 20 characters.
WIDTH - must be provided and must be a positive number i.e. zero or greater.
HEIGHT - must be provided and must be a positive number i.e. zero or greater.
DEPTH - must be provided and must be a positive number i.e. zero or greater.
MAX_WEIGHT - if provided, must be a positive number i.e. zero or greater.
If there have been any issues with your package data, an error message will be displayed with the row number and issue. Make the relevant changes to your package data and then re-import the spreadsheet.
