The ‘Sales by payment method’ report provides sales totals for the different payment methods (cash, external card, gift voucher) within a chosen timeframe.

This is particularly useful to see totals for the different payment methods at the end of the trading day.

How do I access the sales by payment method report?

  1. Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
  2. Click Reports from the menu, this will open the Reports page.
  3. Click Sales by payment method.

You will now see the totals for the different payment methods, by default this information is calculated for the current day and default currency set for the register.

What information is displayed in sales by payment method report?

Sales by payment method displays a variety of real time information, such as:

  • The start date and time of the report’s timeframe.
  • The end date and time of the report’s timeframe.
  • The currency for this report.
  • Cash payments made within the report timeframe are calculated into a total and displayed as Total cash.
  • Card payments made within the report timeframe are calculated into a total and displayed as Total external card.
  • Gift voucher payments made within the report timeframe are calculated into a total and displayed as Total gift voucher.

Totals are not displayed for on account orders made during the report timeframe as these are actually pending payments.

How do I change the timeframe or the currency of the report?

  1. Click the search icon (magnifying glass) in the top left corner.
  2. To adjust the starting time and date for the report, click From.
  3. To adjust the ending time and date for the report, click To.
  4. To adjust the currency for the report, click Currency.
  5. Click the confirmation icon (tick) in the top right.

The report information will now be recalculated to match the new search criteria.
