Our POS supports cash tracking which allows you to track the movement of cash through the POS from a specific starting time, such as the start of a day’s trading.

This provides you with easy to access information for your cash reconciliations at shift changes or the end of a days trading.

How do I start cash tracking?

  1. Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.

  2. Click Cash tracking from the menu.

  3. Click START CASH TRACKING button.

  4. Enter your float into the Float field.

  5. You can optionally enter a note for the float into the Note field.

  6. Click the confirmation icon (tick) in the top right corner.

The Cash tracking will now display that cash tracking has been started with a range of information that will adjust in real time to cash being added or removed from the float and to cash payments. Cash tracking will remain active until it is ended (see ‘How do I stop cash tracking?below).

What cash tracking information is displayed?

Once cash tracking has been started, a variety of real time information is displayed for this register, such as:

  • The name of the user that started cash tracking.

  • The time and date that cash tracking was started on.

  • The float (starting cash amount).

  • If the float has a note, click the small icon (comment) to the right of Float to display the note.

  • Any cash added or removed is calculated into a total and displayed as movements.

  • Any cash payments (from processed orders) are calculated into a total and displayed as payments.

  • The total is calculated from the float, moments and payments, this is the amount of cash that should be on hand.

How do I add cash?

  1. Click ADD CASH in the top right of the Cash tracking after cash tracking has been started.

  2. Enter the amount of cash to add into Amount.

  3. You can optionally enter a note for the cash added into Note.

  4. Click the confirmation icon (tick) in the top right corner.

How do I remove cash?

  1. Click REMOVE CASH in the top right of the Cash tracking after cash tracking has been started.

  2. Enter the amount of cash to remove into Amount.

  3. You can optionally enter a note for the cash removed into Note.

  4. Click the confirmation icon (tick) in the top right corner.

How do I view the cash added or removed?

Click Movements to display information about the cash that has been added or removed, such as:

  • The user who added or removed cash.

  • The date and time that cash was added or removed.

  • The amount of cash that was added or removed.

  • A note (if provided).

How do I print a cash tracking report?

Once cash tracking has been started, click Print cash tracking report above the END CASH TRACKING button.

If the POS is running on a device and connected to a receipt printer, the report will print automatically, if the POS is running through a browser then a printer dialog will be opened allowing you to select the printer and formatting before printing the report.

How do I stop cash tracking?

Click the END CASH TRACKING button under the cash tracking information to end the cash tracking.

It is important to note that cash tracking is reset when it is ended and any information relating to the cash tracking (e.g. float, cash movements) are permanently deleted.
