Learn how to store and retrieve carts

The POS supports parking carts which stores all of the information related to a cart (customer, notes, items, discounts, totals, currency and pricing tiers), a parked cart can then be retrieved and used in the future.

This allows you to create and save orders as quotes for your customers or to save incomplete orders that you will need to revisit later.

Parked carts do not store any payments information and are not intended to be used for ongoing payments.

How do I find my parked carts?

  1. Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.

  2. Click Parked carts from the menu.

What information is displayed on the parked carts page?

The parked carts is divided into two sections.

On the left is a list of all the parked carts, showing the following information:

  • The date and time that the cart was parked.

  • The carts customer (if provided).

  • The number of items in the cart.

  • The user who saved the cart.

  • A note about the parked cart (if provided).

On the right is more detailed information about a selected parked cart, such as:

  • The cart currency and pricing tier (under the Cart heading).

  • The cart customer (if provided).

  • The cart note (if provided).

  • The cart items name, quantity, price and discounts.

  • The cart subtotal.

  • The total discounts applied to the cart.

  • The cart tax.

  • The cart total.

How do I park a cart?

Carts can be parked on the sell screen, see 'How do I store a cart?'.

How do I view a parked cart?

Click the parked cart you wish to view in the Parked carts section on the left to select it, the Parked cart section on the right will then display the selected carts information.

How do I open a parked cart?

  1. Click the parked cart options icon (ellipsis) in the top right.

  2. Click OPEN, this will open the sell page with the parked cart loaded.

How do I email a parked cart as a quote?

  1. Click the parked cart options icon (ellipsis) in the top right.

  2. Click Email, this will open an email dialog box.

  3. Enter an email address.

  4. Click the confirmation icon (tick) in the top right corner, this will verify the email address and send the parked cart as a quote.

How do I print a quote for a parked cart?

  1. Click the parked cart options icon (ellipsis) in the top right.

  2. Click Print.

  3. If the POS is running on a device and connected to a receipt printer, the parked cart will be printed automatically.

  4. If the POS is running through a browser then a printer dialog will be opened allowing you to select the printer and adjust the formatting before printing the parked cart.

What happens when I complete an order using a parked cart?

When you open a parked cart and then complete the order via the checkout page, the parked cart will be removed from the parked carts storied by the POS.

How do I make changes to a parked cart?

  1. Click the parked cart options icon (ellipsis) in the top right.

  2. Click OPEN, this will open the sell page with the parked cart loaded.

  3. Make changes to the cart.

  4. Click the cart options icon (ellipsis) above the cart.

  5. Click Park cart, the parked cart will be updated with any changes.

How do I delete a parked cart?

  1. Click the parked cart options icon (ellipsis) in the top right.

  2. Click DELETE, this will permanently delete the parked cart .

How do I clear all the parked carts?

  1. Click the parked carts options icon (ellipsis) above the parked carts section.

  2. Click Delete all parked carts, this will open a confirmation request.

  3. To delete the parked carts, click OK, this will remove all of the parked carts and close the confirmation request.

  4. To close the confirmation request without clearing the parked carts, click Cancel.
